Data and a Single Source Of Truth
When it comes to data, having a single source of truth is key. A single source of truth occurs when all the data is queried from a centralized source. It is important that there aren’t multiple versions of the data scattered around, being altered or added to without awareness from others managing or using the data.

Mission
The Data Integrity Tool project is a long-running project aimed at creating a single source of truth for sensitive data that can be utilized throughout the organization.

Why It Matters
In this day and age, data is at the cutting edge of decision making. Most companies are utilizing data like they never have before, helping them gather new insights to propel their organizations to the next level. Now that being said, imagine if people across an organization were attempting to use data that was not up to date, not accurate, and varied from user to user! Inconsistent data leads to inconsistent decisions and a lack of synergy throughout an organization. This is why having a single source of truth for data is crucial for a successful enterprise.

Role
I was a developer on the Data Integrity Tool project who helped create and augment code to support a single source of truth for an organization. My tasks varied from creating new features, enhancing business logic, and supporting existing users.

Project Goals
The goal of the project was to; develop and maintain the single source of truth, increase and optimize data capture, reduce data redundancies, enforce business logic, elevate user experience, and assist with integration to other tools in the organization.

Tech
This is a full stack project that utilizes JavaScript (AJAX, jQuery), C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL, and DevExpress.
